In an interview with CNBC on Tuesday, HP CEO Enrique Lores said that artificial intelligence is disrupting the personal computer business and that HP will meet the challenges of this wave.
In the interview, Lores said, “We think artificial intelligence will give rise to a new category of PCs that will help us redefine the concept of the personal computer (PC) and reshape the customer experience. HP is working closely with all the key software vendors and key chip providers to explore and re-engineer the architecture of the PC”.
Lores said HP will launch a new PC as early as 2024, and that data that would take professional analysts hours to gain insight will be easily accessible to the average user in a fraction of the time.
I’ve been in the PC industry for many years, but I’ve never seen such an era of change that really drives PC innovation,” he said.
