Microsoft is now offering a free online course for AI beginners that consists of 24 lessons over 12 weeks.
The course is said to be a “primer” on AI, in which Microsoft explores the principles and knowledge of neural networks and deep learning, giving users an idea of the neural architecture used to process images and text, and learning about some of the “less popular” approaches to AI. Microsoft says that in this course, you can learn about
Different approaches to artificial intelligence: including the “old-fashioned” symbolic approach to knowledge representation and reasoning (GOFAI).
Neural networks and deep learning: The concepts behind the composition of models will be introduced using code from the popular frameworks TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Neural architectures for processing images and text: Microsoft will present recent models, but may lack some of the most advanced ones.
