Microsoft has finalized its roadmap for a new version of Outlook for Windows. It will replace the existing Mail and Calendar app for enterprise and personal Win11 users starting in September 2024.
This means that users will have plenty of time to transition to the new version of Outlook. Since September next year is not mandatory, Microsoft will provide more time for businesses and organizations to make the transition.
Microsoft says it will make the following three adjustments starting next September, which are listed below in the IT House:
– Users cannot use or download the Mail and Calendar application anymore.
– Microsoft 365 or Office 365 subscription users can use the new Outlook for Windows app to access some Microsoft 365 apps.
– Users without a subscription can also use the new Outlook for Windows from any personal email account ([Outlook. com], Gmail, etc.).
