Chipmaker NVIDIA and Indian conglomerate Tata Group have announced a strategic partnership to fast-track the development and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across industries in India. The collaboration aims to build world-class AI infrastructure and capabilities, enabling Indian enterprises and startups to innovate with cutting-edge technologies.
Under the partnership, NVIDIA and Tata will work together to develop an AI supercomputer, create an AI cloud, and upskill India’s technology workforce.
Launching AI Cloud for Indian Enterprises
Tata Communications, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and NVIDIA will collaborate to build an AI cloud platform hosted in India. The cloud will integrate Tata Communications’ high-speed network with NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure and TCS’ enterprise AI capabilities. This will allow Indian enterprises of all sizes to easily access AI computing resources and solutions to drive automation and increase competitiveness.
Upskilling Workforce for Next-Gen Technologies
To develop India’s AI talent pipeline, TCS will provide AI training to its 60,000 consultants using NVIDIA’s AI tools and platforms. TCS will also curate industry-relevant AI courses and certifications to train fresh graduates and professionals to build AI models, applications, and services.
