Sony has launched a unique and modern-looking “HT-AX7 portable cinema system”. This Bluetooth speaker features a fabric-like design made from recycled PET bottles. The top two “lid-style” modules can be detached and used as separate portable speakers to create a stereo soundstage. When the modules are attached to the speaker body, they can also be used as a traditional Bluetooth speaker. Users can use their phone as a remote control to enhance flexibility. The battery provides about 30 hours of battery life, and 10 minutes of charging can give about 2.5 hours of playback time. The speaker’s price has not been announced yet, but according to foreign media TechRadar, it will be priced at 550 euros.
Compared to Sony’s professional home theatre system, which costs tens of thousands of yuan, this speaker is more for entertainment purposes. Each use requires manual placement of the modules to establish the soundstage, and the module battery life is limited. Therefore, whether this product is worth buying depends on individual needs.
